  • What is your refund policy?

If you want to return your order, there is a 14 calendar day cancellation period in which you can notify FoxyFibers of your intent to cancel your order. This cooling off period becomes active from the day you receive your order.
You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the item is deemed to be faulty (excluding slight differences in colors compared with how the product is shown on the website).
A refund shall be made within 14 calendar days of receipt of the item. It is your responsibility to send back and obtain proof of postage. In the likelihood of the returned product going missing in transit, you are to pursue your postage provider for compensation as the product is legally yours until a refund is issued.

Alternatively, if preferred, we will also be happy to exchange the item.

Items must be returned in the original condition, with original packaging and must be free from scent and animal hair. Items not in original condition cannot be resold and will be returned to you. Refund or exchange will not be issued.

Refunds will be processed using the method of payment that you have used.

Items returned from outside the EU must be clearly marked on the customs label as “returned merchandise” so as not to attract import duty / VAT. Please also write “Returning to country of origin” on the package too. If you attempt to return the package incorrectly and we receive a customs fee notification, this will be ignored and the items will automatically be returned to you.

  • What is the difference between supersoft sock and soft sock?

The difference lies in the exceptional quality of the fibers used in each yarn, as well as the nylon content.

Our Supersoft Sock is crafted from 19.5-micron extrafine merino, which is the epitome of luxury and softness. It contains 20% nylon, carefully blended to enhance durability and provide a touch of elasticity.

On the other hand, our Soft Sock yarn features fine merino wool that still maintains a high level of comfort and softness. It contains a slightly higher nylon content of 25%, offering added strength and resilience.

Both yarns incorporate nylon to increase the longevity and wearability of your knitted or crocheted projects. The nylon content in each yarn is thoughtfully selected to ensure the perfect balance of softness, strength, and elasticity.

In summary, if you’re seeking the absolute best quality and an unparalleled softness with a 20% nylon blend, our Supersoft Sock is the perfect choice. However, if you prefer a versatile sock yarn with a slightly higher nylon content of 25% for added durability, our Soft Sock will meet your needs beautifully. Whichever option you choose, we guarantee a yarn that will bring joy to your knitting and a cozy comfort to your feet.

  • Why is the large fade set more expensive than eight times one skein?

The pricing difference between the large Fade Set and eight individual skeins is due to several factors. Firstly, creating the large Fade Set requires meticulous design and precise calculations to ensure that each skein seamlessly transitions in color from one to the next. This level of attention to detail takes a significant amount of time and expertise.

Additionally, the large Fade Set is a unique and limited edition offering. Only six sets have been created, making them truly one-of-a-kind. While purchasing eight individual skeins may provide flexibility in color choices, the large Fade Set offers a curated and harmonious color progression specifically designed to create stunning fade projects. It provides a cohesive and effortless way to achieve a breathtaking gradient effect in your knitting or crochet.

Ultimately, the higher price of the large Fade Set reflects the exceptional craftsmanship, meticulous planning, and limited nature of this unique offering. By investing in the set, you’re not only acquiring a collection of high-quality yarn but also gaining access to a truly special and artistic fiber experience.

  • What is pooling yarn and non-pooling yarn?

    • Pooling Yarn: Pooling yarn refers to a type of yarn where the colors align in a way that creates distinct color blocks or pools when knitted or crocheted. This effect can be intentional or unintentional, resulting in unique patterns, for example a zig-zag pattern.
    • Non-Pooling Yarn: Non-pooling yarn, on the other hand, maintains a more consistent and random color distribution when worked up, avoiding the formation of color pools.

If you want to avoid pooling, look for yarns with longer color repeats and gradual color transitions. Yarns with shorter color repeats are more likely to pool, while those with longer color sequences tend to create a more blended, non-pooling effect.

Some crafters intentionally choose pooling yarn for specific techniques like planned pooling, where they manipulate the stitch count to create deliberate patterns. Techniques like moss or seed stitch can also help break up color pools.

While you may not completely eliminate pooling in some yarns, using larger projects or alternating skeins can help minimize the pooling effect and create a more randomized color distribution.

Beginners might find non-pooling yarn more forgiving, as it tends to create a more uniform appearance. Pooling yarn requires a bit more experience in managing color distribution to achieve the desired effect.
